It's finale day here in Copenhagen. Street is about to start in a minute. Everyone is trying to find a good spot to check the skating and nurse the hangover from last night's barging at the Vega. A couple of judges were spotted out until the wee hours, but they all made it back here on time.

The top 12 are going to compete in 3 heats with 1 intro run followed by a 12 minute jam. This is going to be good! Everything is now broadcasted live through the Tacky player, so enjoy!

Last night vert final was epic! Renton Miller took home the big price after nailing proper tre flips over the channel. Rune came close 2nd with his usual smooth style and tech tricks. Neal Hendrix walked away 3rd. For those who missed out on the live action, check Tackyworld for full coverage.

First day almost over, the training have been mind blowing. dudes from all over the place are in attendance: Chico, Getz, Koston, Jereme Rogers, Brandon Biebel, Torey Pudwill, Paul Shier, Matt Beach, Terry Kennedy, Danny Cerezini, Pontus Alv, to name a few. We should have the live webcast up by tomorrow afteroon, with full live coverage whole day sunday. If you can't wait go to Tacky World for clips of the trainings.
While you are there, peep the coverage of the DVS Scandilous tour we were on for the last 10 days. Full GSD '08 coverage here and here. There's more photos here (manchild pop!) and here too!

It's now time for the Balkan BBQ Bash: A full roasted pig is ready to be teared appart, while a gipsy band is playing... Not quite Beirut, but almost there!

D day -1, and damn it all looks good! Many heads have been spotted wandering around Christiana yesterday, and it's unanimous: CPH is an amazing place to be! The comp hasn't started, yet most people are already blown away by the side attraction at hand.
Thanks to the good weather, a small BBQ/vert Jam was organized at the public skatepark (wait, how many parks is there in CPH? 4 that I could count!). It all got spiced up when a ring of fire was light and 1000 kroners were thrown in for the best tricks through the ring. What a trip!

Everyone is enjoying the course so far. Chico, Shier, Rattray and Baines were the 1st on eto be caught on the course this morning. The whole set up is as much fun to skate as it looks, and there's no lack of possibility. It's always funny to see how 2 dudes can skate the same obstacle in such different ways, just like Pontus Alv and Jereme Rogers: 2 dudes, 2 styles, 2 good bag of tricks yet worlds apart in the way they skate the course!

a few pictures should be up as soon as our cable is returned...

Woww, after an epic trip through Scandinavia, a big chunk of the DVS team made it to CPH alive and dry. Huf, Torey, Shier, Baines, Kristian, Guru, Lucien, and newcomer Flo drove through Sweden and Norway to skate some spots, and do a few demos. Those countries are both a trip, in different ways. GSD '08 was spent in Oslo, where we got to BBQ right on this crazy spot in a big national park. Go check ion the main page to check the slideshow out.
Too bad the weather wasn't on our side for a fair bit of the trip. Still managed to make the most of each dry spot. Yesterday's everyone cashed in on some tricks, while Torey was cashing in on loose coins, owning the dice like no one.
As we rolled into town, we had the good surprise to bump into some heads: Rattray and Clint are about, and so is Koston. If that wasn't a good welcome!
Today, more heads are showing up: Getz, Chico, Jesus, JB and Biebel. First session at the park later today.
Check back in for some impression of the course.
Also, make sure to log here over the week end, and check the live webcast that will appear on friday somewhere on this page.
